Dear PSEP Educators and Stakeholders,
Attached is the announcement and agenda outline for the National Pesticide Applicator Certification and Safety Education Workshop that will be held August 20 – 22, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Riverwalk. This information will allow those needing to get travel authorization to proceed with their travel planning. The workshop registration system with the hotel booking information will go live on June 4, 2018.
Standard hotel rooms for three nights (Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, Aug 19 – 21) will be covered for one PSEP educator and one SLA representative from each state and territory attending the workshop. PSEPs and SLAs planning to send representatives should begin to identify the individuals who will receive the complimentary hotel rooms. Instructions for how to submit those names for complimentary rooms will be part of the registration system.
NPSEC is very pleased to cooperate with ASPCRO to hold this National Workshop on the front end of their separate Annual Meeting, which runs until August 24, 2018 (http://www.aspcro.org/meetings/minutes/2018/AUG20/2018ConferencePreview.pdf ). This will provide PSEP educators, SLA’s, EPA and other federal agencies, and other stakeholders an opportunity to join in the ASPCRO educational program immediately following the National Workshop, making for a full week of education, action and networking.
San Antonio offers many great historical, cultural, educational, and just plain fun things to see and do, so I hope many of you can take advantage of these opportunities and bring your family to this exciting week!
